Karvol is an inhalant decongestant which contains a unique
combination of aromatic oils including pine, cinnamon and
menthol that has been specially formulated to help children and
adults breathe more easily to help improve sleep.
The natural vapours of Karvol gently clear congestion associated
with colds.
How does Karvol work?
Natural vapours ease nasal congestion, which can help aid
sleep. Nasal congestion is usually a symptom of upper
respiratory tract infections, which infects children throughout
the the year, and as a result can lead to sleepless nights which
is distressing for both the child and parents.
Who should use Karvol?
Karvol is an inhalant decongestant formulated with children
in mind, but the product provides effective relief from nasal
congestion for the while family. It can be used for babies over
aged 3 months and it can also be used for older children and
adults.
Is
this product suitable for use on a newborn baby?
No, Karvol should only be used for babies and children over
3 months.
How do I
use Karvol Decongestant Capsules?
Karvol Decongestant Capsules offer an easy to use format as
there is nothing to swallow or rub onto a child's chest. For
babies over 3 months and young children, one capsule of Karvol
should be put onto a handkerchief tied down in the vicinity, but
out of reach, of the child.
How
do I use Karvol Family Decongestant Drops?
For young children: put 6 drops onto a handkerchief tied
down in the vicinity (but out of reach) of the child. For older
children or adults: put 6 drops onto a handkerchief or tissue
during the day or onto bedding at night.
Are there any side
effects?
Side effects are not expected. A doctor should be consulted
if anything unusual occurs.
What are the advantages of using an inhalant decongestant
instead of another form of medicine e.g. decongestant medicine
or nose drops?
An inhalant decongestant creates natural vapours, which are
breathed in by the child. These help to relieve nasal
congestion.
